ANNE JEFFERSON:
Hello, My name is Anne Jefferson. I am excited to be teaching in the Functional Academic Classroom (FAC) at Voigt Elementary! This is my fifth year in Round Rock ISD and my third year as a classroom teacher. I have also worked in the FCC program at Teravista Elementary as an educational assistant.
I am originally from Indiana but have now resided in Texas for 15 years. I live in Round Rock with my husband, Alan, and two of our three children. My oldest son entered college this year in Dallas! We also have two dogs, Shadow and Pongo.
I attended Indiana University and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Psychology. Prior to moving to Texas, I worked in many settings providing speech therapy and case management services to children and adults with special needs. Once we moved to Texas, I worked doing many different things including mystery shopper, cake decorating instructor, medical transcription and as a consultant for Thirty-One Gifts!
Five years ago I realized it was time to pursue my passion and return to serving individuals with special needs. At that time, I began working in the district and then pursued my teaching certification. I obtained my credentials through the Region XIII Educator Certification Program.
